Liebe familie und freunde,

So this week was absolutely wonderful. Of course one because we got
the tool of the Lord on Friday and two because we really did see an
amazing miracle happen. This last week I have really been able to see
how powerful the Lord can work with us when we only except him and his
gospel. We have been teaching a man ever since I have been here in
spandau and its been a battle and really hard to communicate because
he had certain oppinions about the gospel and so on and so forth. His
biggest problem was probably the book of mormon. That was really hard
for him to understand and to except. The fact that it was a tool and
proof to the everlasting living gospel of Jesus Christ. He watched the
talk from Jeffery R. Holland safety for the soul. And ever since he
watched that he changed his views on everything about the church. He
was really able to see the power of the book of mormon and what it can
bring to our lives. And also that we have living prophets who help us
understand the importance of the Gospel and how we can apply it better
in our lives. He has agreed to be baptized and is working for the 6th
of J
finally have the ipads to bring the Lords work forward. :)

Also the sisters in our area just had a baptism and its so cool
because ALL of the missionarys in Berlin try to make it and see it
with their friends of the church as well. And so there was so much
support and just an amazing feeling there at the baptism. Its really
special and such a cool experience to see people find the gospel and
to have it totally make a change in their lives in the way they act
and live their lives. I havent seen someone make such a change in such
a faster time to become so happy as someone who finds out about the
church and gets baptized. It really goes to show what the gospel can
bring us and how much joy this really is just from the FIRST covenant
that we make with God. Think of all the other blessings that come
after baptism. Its soooooo coooool maaaannnnnnnnn.

Other than that I learned alot this week from the book of mormon and
also from giving the gospel princeples class. I gave the lesson on the
mellinium and I read a cool scripture in 3 nephi 2:1&2. And its
important that we always keep our hearts, feelings, and thoughts on
the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because in all honesty, its the easiest
and I REALLY believe that an 8 year old kid could understand this
gospel and that is why they can be baptized. But the important part is
that we dont ask ourselves questions that make us confused and not
sure. It doesnt bring us any good. We dont learn from that and we
never will. We need to build off of the things that we already know
are true and that are to be found in the scriptures and talked about
with the prophets from the restored gospel. We cant go wrong with it.
Keep it simple and sweet and I promise that our knowledge of the
gospel will come better when we dont try to make the gospel more
complicated than it is.  The mellinium will be there to help us
understand more that we Need to at that point and time. Love you all
have a wonderful week. :)

To You.

Hello errybodyyy. Well this last week did go well. We got transfer calls and Elder Morton will be staying haha. So I will have my 8th companion going into my 10th transfer. Only the second time that I have got to stay with someone more than 42 days haha. But it will be good because Elder Morton and I have been working well together.

This last week was really good. We are still working hard on about 4 solid friends of the church. They are really all so awesome. One of them has been coming the last 5 weeks in a row and is really making progress even though he falls with questions that he has sometimes. But everyone that we are teaching Elder Morton and I found them in this last transfer. And unfortunately, none of them are German except one hahaha. But they all speak German or English. Two are from Africa and one is from Serbia. Everything is going forward but it just takes a lot of patience because it comes with time and we all know that. Nobody can just know the gospel in one sitting. It takes a lot of study and effort to understand and see what comes out of the gospel.
The sisters here in Spandau with us will be having a baptism this week. And it is so nice for everyone to see a baptism because it brings a very special spirit along.

Anyway with me, the week went by really fast and there hasnt been anything so different going on. One cool thing that happened though is we had a "mexican night" in the church building to learn more about mexico and the culture. We had tons of investigators there and it was so cool for them to feel welcomed by the members and honestly most of converts do end up coming to the church, when they come to activities! So invite people to activities because its an atmosphere that really seems to show people how great the church is. :)

Other than that I gave a talk on "how can I recognize the spirit more often in my life?" yesterday. And it was really interesting planning for it. I kind of just got up there and talked and changed the talk as I went, but it turned out going pretty well haha. The main points I focused on is having a DISIRE. Then to be DILIGENT. Then to be TEACHABLE. When we have the disire to have the spirit by us, and we ask ourselves everyday "how do I want to be lead by the spirit today?" it will change us to be more diligent. Not only to seek the spirit out, but to work to have the spirit by us more often when we read in the scriptures, pray, and follow the commandments. The last point is to be teachable. We have to have an open heart. No matter what the spirit tells us to do, or to say we have to be ready to follow him and to change ourselves. So try that this week. SEEK and you will find his love and help more often in your daily life. "Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be open unto you." Its a promise in the scriptures and its a love that you wont ever feel anywhere else. Heavenly Father wants us to feel his love. So go for it and take his promise that he is laying right in front of you from the moment you wake up every morning. :) I love you all have a good week.

Me again!

I'm sorry.

I am not going to write a lot this week because and I apologize now. But the work is going forward. Not a ton happened this week. But we are seeing cool small miracles every single day!

This last week we talked to a guy about the restoration of the gospel. And if we all think about it, that's the main point that really invites the spirit because he confirms the truth of these restored truths! And by the end of this conversation we had with a man he told us that he was starting to get goose bumps. You cant tell me now that the spirit doesn't work through those that open their heart and give an attempt to learn about the gospel. Even just the smallest of attempts can lead to the biggest miracles that bring us so much joy. :) This man took our card and said he was going to watch the small film "because he lives" that the church made for Easter! So that was a great experience.

Also, I just thought I would touch up on a scripture I read this week in Helaman. Chapter 3 verse 35. And it really is a topic that has helped me more than anything. I don't think we realize as members sometimes how much we NEED a spiritual boost and also nourishing our spirit. Just like we need to eat and nourish our bodies every single day, we need to nourish our spirituality. Its the only way really that we can be spiritually fit for decisions and overcoming trials we have.

Other than that, happy mothers day to all of the mothers out there! You are all so amazing! Love you though mom you are the best mom in the world!

So this week was pretty much great. We had a lot going on with our friends of the church. :) It really is such a cool thing seeing the transformation of the lives of others. The gospel really brings such a lasting joy. I have tried to think of things that bring me joy and its all things of the world. Things that will pass on eventually in our lives. And the only thing that will ever be able to be with us is our family and the gospel. Those two joys together really do have an effect on us when we tie them together. And that is  what happens for people who get to know the church, or who haven't gone in awhile. We are forgetful. We are un perfect. But you know what? The gospel is perfect. And when we continually study and apply, we will also start to become more perfect through Christ, and see this change in ourselves that only comes through this gospel. And I am just grateful to see these wonderful people make small short progress. Its all up to us though and how we use our agency to progress.

OHHHH man don't even get me on the subject of AGENCY. :) Elder Bednar is a beast when it comes to agency and I have learned so much from him and heard stories from general authorities about him. Something he said once that is kind of harsh, but true. A man asked "with my agency I am aloud to miss church meetings, drink, party, and do whatever I want then right?" Elder Bednar replied, "Have you been baptized? (ya) Do you have the Priesthood? (ya) Have you been through the temple? (ya) .... Okay then you are telling me that is using your agency? That to me sounds just like a covenant breaker." Sometimes it takes a harsh answer to realize how important it is to see what we promise god. He then said "You already used your moral agency to make those decisions and taking those steps in your life." And I believe that is so true. We really need to see we have used our agency to make a promise to God. Maybe the blessings don't look as big as we would like at times. But we can always look back on ourselves and ask "have I done ALL I could to follow the Lords footsteps?" And at the end of the day I promise you that there is always something we can do to better ourselves with the agency we have to give back to our Heavenly Father and all he has given us already. We have to realize we aren't perfect. We need time to grow. Especially our faith. I wrote one day in my study journal a definition of faith and it says, "Something that is built up overtime from personal desires and wishes with hard work to become something we didn't know we could be. It is a never ending process of, slowly but surly." I know this may not interest you at all, but that's okay. haha I thought it was interesting so I thought I would share. :)

Anywho, other than that.... We SHOULD be getting ipads this week. (probably means by Christmas) We will see right?? ;) Have a great week love yall!
