Well.... A quick story... For those of you who know me... You know I don't like fish very much haha. Well we had an eating appointment this last week and yes there was fish for lunch. They also made a lasagna because their son didn't eat fish. Well.. I tried it anyway because I wanted to be nice. And I ate all of it! The only problem was.. They had like 6 more HUGE fillets. The father asked me if I wanted any more afterwards and I thought to myself... Well its really healthy and I guess I could just pour a lot of lemon juice on it.. So I told him yes please but just a half of one. He gave me the entire fillet hahah. It wasn't small either.. Yes I ate it and I was about ready to die because I probably had a cup of lemon juice and 4 cups of apple juice stuff to go with it. hahah. That is the only eating appointment so far on my mission that was a struggle. But it was a good adventure and I felt healthy afterwards.
Also the last week was a good one because we were in a trio. An elder went home so we were able to receive an elder from Austria, NOT Australia. haha. A lot of people mix that up. Its fun because we only have about 16 fluent speakers in the mission and he is with us. But its also fun being in a trio. We can get a lot done and there are just good benefits to it haha. especially because he has saved up a lot of money so we can eat a lot ;) hahaha nah jk. But its a good time. We only have one more week to this transfer so we wont be together much longer.
We had another MIRACLE! So.. A man named Nikolas was praying and asking God for help because he had no idea what to do with the living situation that he was in. And every single Sunday we would go to pick up a less active older man that is about 5 minutes away from the church. I guess as he closed his prayer, he saw us walking by. So he followed us and saw that it was the same church he was visiting a few years back as he was in England. And so he KNEW that he needed to go in. We met with him a few times this last week and he will continue to meet with him. He is going to Romania for about a week or two and then will be back. But its just so amazing how the Lord can work through us when we are obedient. I honestly almost forgot that day to go pick up the less active member until I felt in my heart to GO GO GO. And the crazy thing is.. I didn't realize why I had that prompting because the member wasn't even home. I knew the prompting was for Nikolas. I am just happy and grateful to be a "tool" in the Lords hands. That is what we can all be. Exactly like Joseph Smith was. We just need to be worthy and able to understand the promptings of the Holy Spirit. LuB 19:23 is a great scripture. When we learn of Jesus Christ and come to understand the words that he is saying to us through the spirit. And ACT upon the promptings, we will have PEACE and JOY throughout our entire lives in him and his Gospel. That's what makes me the happiest about being here on a mission. Because I know there isn't just accidents happening everyday. I know Heavenly Father prepares those and he can lead us to them through our obedience and when we open our ears to the promptings. Read a talk for me... This helped me to have a desire to open my ears and heart and helped me realize how important MY effort is in the work of the Lord. Its from conference in October 2012 "be anxiously engaged" from M. Russell Ballard. I know that we can find peace in the Lord and in our personal lives when we follow Jesus Christ. Its no wonder that missionaries are always happy haha :) Its never the easiest, but that doesn't mean we cant still feel the love of the Lord from giving our best to do his work. Have a great week. Love you ALL!
